Leading the Way in
Sustainable Construction

At Kent Construction Consultants, our commitment to sustainability is embedded in every aspect of our practice. We are actively working towards becoming a net zero carbon business, with the goal of achieving One Carbon World accreditation. This journey has involved a full reassessment of our infrastructure, investments, and strategic objectives to align with best environmental practices.

ISO Accreditation Driving Sustainable Change

In 2023, we achieved ISO accreditation, allowing us to modernise our internal policies and operational procedures. This milestone led to the implementation of fully electric company vehicles, enhanced digital processes, and a cycle-to-work scheme, tangible actions that reflect our broader commitment to reducing our environmental impact.

Recognised Excellence by Constructionline Gold

We are proud to hold Constructionline Gold membership, which recognises our high standards in health and safety, environmental management, quality assurance, and compliance. This accreditation strengthens our credibility across both public and private sector markets and demonstrates our alignment with the highest levels of industry governance.

Construct Zero Framework Champions

Our leadership in sustainability has also been recognised nationally. We are Framework Champions of the UK Trade and Business "Construct Zero" public sector framework, developed in partnership with the Construction Leadership Council. This recognition places us at the forefront of the UK’s effort to decarbonise the construction industry and underlines our role in helping to shape and deliver the government’s sustainability agenda.

Empowering Teams Through Lifelong Learning

As members of the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC), our staff benefit from unlimited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and training, which enhances both our service delivery and the quality of client support. We are agile and future-focused, having successfully delivered a wide range of sustainable projects across both the private and public sectors—showcasing not only our technical capability, but our genuine commitment to sustainable development.

Delivering Net Zero Carbon Projects with Impact

Our achievements in sustainability have been instrumental in the delivery of net zero carbon projects, earning us multiple nominations and third-party endorsements on public sector frameworks. A standout example is Project Etopia, a £13 million net zero carbon residential development in Corby. The project's success has elevated our national profile, leading to invitations to speak at colleges, appear on industry podcasts, and present at major construction expos.

Shaping the Future of Building Standards

Aligned with UKGBC’s call for all new buildings to operate at net zero carbon by 2030, including both regulated and embodied energy, we actively promote these standards through collaboration with leading regional architects and consultants.

Regenerating Communities, Sustainability at the Core

Our recent £30 million regeneration project with Maidstone Borough Council and Strawberry Star Group exemplifies this commitment. The town centre scheme, delivering 172 apartments and over 1,000m² of commercial space, integrates sustainable drainage systems, biodiversity enhancement, eco-system protection, and community-led placemaking, all designed to promote long-term social value and environmental resilience.

£100M+ in Sustainable Project Delivery

To date, Kent Construction Consultants has delivered over £100 million in sustainable projects, achieving an estimated 48,560 kg CO₂e/m² reduction in embodied carbon through innovative cost planning and design collaboration. Our sustainability journey has required us to adopt and promote new construction technologies while educating clients on the financial and environmental benefits of choosing sustainable alternatives over traditional methods.

Committed to a Greener
Built Environment

As industry leaders, we remain proud advocates for sustainability in the built environment, delivering cost-effective, future-ready solutions that align with the UK’s transition to a low-carbon economy.
