Kent Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity, dedicated to restoring and enhancing Kent’s natural heritage. With over 32,000 members and volunteers, the Trust manages more than 9,000 acres of land and works to protect and restore the county’s wildlife through key projects like Wilder Kent 2030, a 25-year strategy aimed at making Kent’s land and sea wilder and more biodiverse. A significant part of this effort includes the restoration of West Blean and Thornden Woods, where the Trust is pioneering the reintroduction of European bison. Kent Construction Consultants has delivered the Blean Woods Bison Rangers Centre project, which involved the careful restoration of a Victorian building and the integration of sustainable, renewable energy solutions.

The Centre now supports the management and monitoring of the bison population and provides an educational space for community engagement. By combining habitat restoration, species reintroduction, and environmentally conscious development, Kent Wildlife Trust is shaping a wilder, more sustainable future for Kent—and Kent Construction Consultants is proud to have played a key role in delivering this important conservation facility.
