York Gate is a catalyst site for the wider regeneration of this key area of the city. As an enabling development, it unlocks future investment and lays the foundation for the creation of a new residential-led mixed-use quarter, delivering long-term economic, social, and environmental benefits. The project aligns with the city’s broader aspirations for growth, inclusion, and connectivity, introducing new homes, employment opportunities, and public space that will serve both existing and future communities. Kent Construction Consultants will play a central role in coordinating delivery to ensure this first phase is not only commercially successful but also acts as a meaningful and positive driver of change.

Leading Design and Construction Collaboration

The York Gate scheme is the result of a strong, collaborative design and delivery team. Todd Architects, a leading architectural practice known for its contextual and progressive designs, have brought forward a bold and elegant architectural response, balancing visual impact with functional, user-centric spaces. To support robust planning and construction readiness, HG Construction has been appointed under a Pre-Contract Services Agreement (PCSA) by Kent Construction Consultants. Their early involvement ensures that key aspects of buildability, logistics, procurement, and programming are considered and integrated from the outset. This proactive approach minimises risk, controls cost, and allows for informed decision-making throughout the pre-construction phase, aligning the entire team around a shared delivery strategy.

Trusted Delivery Through the Building Safety Act Gateway Process

Kent Construction Consultants are committed to upholding the highest standards of compliance, safety, and accountability. Our team is fully equipped to manage the project through the Gateway process introduced by the Building Safety Act 2022, a framework which places greater emphasis on resident safety, accountability, and the duty to design and build with life safety in mind. With successful experience navigating Gateway One (Planning), Gateway Two (Pre-construction), and Gateway Three (Completion and Handover) on comparable schemes, we provide clear guidance to clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure all statutory requirements are met. Our integrated processes support full documentation, robust record-keeping, and structured sign-off stages, helping to ensure York Gate is delivered as a safe, compliant, and future-proof development.
